Coen Beeksma works under the name Studio Beeks, at the intersection of furniture design and material research, with a consistent focus on honest construction and the inherent qualities of the materials he works with.
03Why this maker, and where
2.1 — Bench is the only piece in ECHO that combines two structural materials: solid oak and reclaimed aluminium. The contrast is deliberate — warmth and industrial cool, each making the other more visible. It was made once, for this exhibition.
Sales enquiries for every ECHO work are coordinated by Maaike Rabbinge, who initiated the collective — not by MADART Foundation. 100% of the sale proceeds go to the maker.
